The Suzuki Across is a Plug-In hybrid vehicle with a 46 mile electric range in EV mode and a 2.5 litre petrol engine for long distances. It’s unique in that it has a ‘Battery Charger’ drive mode, which uses the petrol engine to charge the battery, so you don’t have to plug in to recharge. The result is a PHEV that’s able to sustain itself, so it doesn’t inconvenience you. Add to that a dependable four-wheel drive system and a substantial 180bhp and 270Nm of torque, and you have an SUV fit for a king (or queen).
Standard kit includes an electric tailgate, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, a 9” touchscreen and a 7” digital driver’s display. Luxury upholstery, heated seats, blind spot monitoring and parking sensors also come as standard, making the Across a car the whole family can get behind. Come and experience it.
The Across might be stylish and sporty but it’s also incredibly spacious, with a 490 litre boot and an electric tailgate. It sits on 19” alloy wheels and comes as standard with keyless entry for instant access.
In EV mode, the Across drives on electric power alone, using its 18.1kWh lithium ion battery pack for power. It has a range of up to 46 miles on a charge, so if your commute is less than this, you might not use any petrol at all.
Battery Charger mode is a Suzuki innovation that uses the large capacity 2.5 litre petrol engine to power the lithium-ion battery pack. It enables you to add range to the battery without plugging into a wall.
The Across has a 9” touchscreen and a 7” digital driver’s display. The driver’s display shows your electric range and charge times, while the touchscreen is used for infotainment or to double up the driving information.
The Across keeps you connected with wireless charging, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto and Bluetooth. The touchscreen is easy to use but you can also run apps and navigation on the display with smartphone mirroring.
The Across comes equipped with a suite of driving aids, including all round parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane tracing assist and emergency city braking.
The Across gets Suzuki’s E-Four electronic 4x4 system, which senses slip and evenly distributes power between all four wheels to maximise grip in slippery conditions. It inspires confidence and assists with quick getaways.
The Across comes as standard with automatic LED headlights, automatic wipers, power-folding door mirrors, heated front seats, an electric driver’s seat, an electric tailgate, wireless charging and Suzuki’s eCall system.
