Book a Service or MOT at Dales Group
If your car is due an MOT or you are looking to book your can in for an annual service.
An MOT is a legal requirement that ensures your car is both roadworthy and does not pose a risk to yourself and other drivers. Without an up-to-date MOT, your car insurance is invalid so it’s important to get your car booked in for an MOT as soon as you know it’s due.
We offer a range of servicing options, including Interim Service and Full Service, depending on the age or mileage of your car.
What is the purpose of a car service?
Regular servicing ensures your car is functioning as it should do, keeping it reliable for when you need it the most. During your service, depending which level you choose. Your car will have several replacement components and inspections to keep it running at its optimum performance. These include oil and filter changes to air filter, fuel filter and cabin filter changes plus a whole host of visual inspections and software checks and updates.
Regular servicing offers peace of mind, particularly if you are travelling long distances or with family.
How often should I service my car?
This will depend entirely on the age and model of the car and how many miles you do each year. As a rule of thumb, a Service should be conducted every 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever comes first and usually work as an interim then full service the following year.
What does a service include?
This depends entirely on the level of service you require. An Interim Service includes oil and filter replacement, windscreen washer fluid top-up, coolant level, brake fluid level checks, visual brake check and exterior lights to name a few.
A Full Service would include everything in the Interim Service, plus a full brake inspection, replacement air filter, fuel filter (Diesel) and check for drive shaft damage to name a few.
Once all checks and replacements have been made, you will receive a stamp in your service book and a reset of your service light.
