Why Choose Dales?
We have multiple workshops located in both Scorrier and Summercourt, each kitted out with the latest specialist equipment and staffed with fully certified technicians.
As a standard across all visits to our service departments we will include a vehicle health check and manufacturer recall check to ensure you have a complete understanding of the health of your vehicle. Finally, to top it all off your car will receive a complimentary wash and hoover - so you can leave site with a smile and a shiny car or van!
We offer comprehensive servicing packages for all franchise and non-franchise vehicles. As a main dealer, we carry out brand specific service routines following the brand recommended schedules and standards. This ensures continued warranty coverage and longevity for the vehicle. For all other makes we still have access to manufacturer guidelines, and along with our experts' experience we can offer the very best service routines to maintain and repair your vehicle.
We are also proud to be able to support local business and fleet customers. Leave us an enquiry to find out more about how we can help.
Repairs & Maintenance

Is your car not running quite right? Or maybe you've got a mysterious engine light on the dash? We can diagnose and repair all kinds of engine problems. Just leave it to us.

When it comes to all things wheels and suspension we've got you covered. Our team are ready to change tyres, align wheels and replace brake pads, lines or callipers.

Parts like wiper blades, light bulbs, filters and belts may eventually break down through use. We can get these replaced and refitted for you, as well as topping up or changing your vehicle's fluids.

Any make, any model, any issue. Just give us a call or drop in to one of our showrooms. Our service team will be able to give you friendly, professional advice and get your vehicle booked in.
MOT Testing
For any make and model of vehicle, including LCVs.
An MOT test is an annual inspection to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy. It is a legal requirement that allows your vehicle to be driven on public roads. Driving without one can result in fines of up to £1,000. The testing process itself is relatively quick, and can be carried out while you wait.
During the inspection we will investigate key components such as brakes, lights, tires, suspension, seatbelts and emissions to determine if your vehicle meets the necessary safety and environmental standards. The MOT test does not involve inspection of the engine, clutch or gearbox, and no correctional work will be undertaken. An MOT test is not a substitute for a regular service.
On passing the MOT test your vehicle will be supplied with a certificate valid for the following 12 months. Should your vehicle fail it's MOT test for any reason we will contact you directly and can carry out any necessary repairs at your discretion, although this may mean your vehicle will need to remain with our technicians for a longer period. We will also provide you with a list of issues for advisory work, if any, that haven't caused an MOT test failure but will require your attention in the near future.
Is your car's MOT expiring soon? Book in now at any of our showrooms.

Servicing
Regularly maintaining your vehicle ensures it is always performing at it's peak. Servicing helps to improve fuel efficiency and engine performance, and lets you pre-emptively resolve issues to avoid heavy repair bills later down the road. A full service history also adds significant resell value for prospective buyers.
If you have purchased a new or used car from Dales then you may already know your recommended service schedule, but if not this will usually alternate between a basic service one year and a more in-depth or full service the following year.
The duration between each service will be determined by you manufacturer, and will allow a certain number of miles driven or months passed since your last service, whichever comes first. For cars, this is typically between 10 - 12 thousand miles.
If your car is older or you did not purchase it from us (or if you just need a refresher!) then give us a call or leave an enquiry. Our friendly team will let you know where to get started.
Not sure what type of service you need, or what they include? No problem. Check out our table below:
Basic Service | Full Service |
|---|---|
This is designed to be carried alternately to major services. It includes an oil fluid and filter change, a screen wash top up, and most importantly a complete health check of the vehicle. The health check covers many factors such as controls, lights, exhausts, wipers, brakes, suspension, under-bonnet and under-vehicle. This allows us to identify any developing issues early, before they turn into costly problems. | A full service is more comprehensive. It includes everything covered in the basic service plus additional components as required, including air filters, pollen filters, spark plugs, fuel filters and specialist fluids. Additional service requirements such as cambelt, timing chain replacements or brake fluid changes may be advised if needed due to the longer duration between service intervals. |
