Important Covid -19 Update
4th November 2020
From the 5th November, our service departments will operate as normal as they have been for many months in a safe manner.
Sales showrooms will not be open to the public from 5th November until 2 December currently However, our teams will be in the dealerships to continue car sales remotely and we will be able to send you videos, talk to you via video and meet your needs almost as well as if you were with us. Customers can still collect a car or van which has been purchased either online or via the telephone directly from our dealerships, though the handover will be outside so bring a coat. All vehicle handovers will take place from a designated exterior handover area and full social distancing practices will be in place to ensure both colleague and customer safety. Home delivery options will also be available, and all handled in a Covid safe manner.
Our colleagues remain on hand to assist with your sales and aftersales enquiries via telephone, email or live chat and our websites are fully functional with the ability to buy or reserve a car online as well as booking a service or MOT.

Updated Car Servicing Guidelines
- If you or any of your household have covid-19 symptoms then please call us to re-arrange your appointment
- Please remove any unnecessary items from the inside of the vehicle
- On arrival please leave at least one window open so that the car can ventilate (weather permitting)
- Wear a face covering when entering the showroom and adhere to social distancing guidelines
- Please use the hand sanitiser which can be found at the entrance of the building
- When approaching, the service advisor will request that you place your vehicle keys on the desk and remain behind the marked 2 metre line
- Bring your own pen to sign any documents as required (disposable gloves and sanitised pens are available)
- Payment by card or over the telephone is preferable
- Your car will be washed and sanitised but will NOT be hoovered

IMPORTANT SALES, SERVICE & PARTS CUSTOMER NOTICE
FROM FRIDAY 24TH JULY IT WILL BE MANDATORY FOR CUSTOMERS TO WEAR A FACE COVERING UPON ENTERING A DALES MOTOR GROUP BUSINESS.
Following the Government’s announcement on 10th July and subsequent updating of Government guidance on Friday 17th July, Dales Motor Group are now able to confirm the following in relation to the wearing of face coverings.
Under the guidelines issued by the Government, car dealerships fall within the description of ‘Shops and Branches’ and therefore from Friday 24th July it is mandatory for customers to wear a face covering upon entering our businesses.
This ruling applies to customers only and does not include our staff.
The wearing of a face covering for Sales, Aftersales and Parts customers attending the business is mandatory. Please ensure you have this in place prior to arrival as in the interest of our colleagues and customer safety
It is important to note that some of our customers may be exempt from wearing a face covering. The conditions under which this may apply are listed below;

Update 27th April
We really hope you and your families are well at this incredibly challenging time.
We wanted to let you know about the services that we can offer to help you right now.
According to official government guidelines, all car dealerships can continue to sell cars remotely as well as deliver to customers during this lockdown – providing essential hygiene and social distancing measures are in place. This is in addition to the servicing, repairs and MOT that our workshops continue to offer to essential workers.
From the team here at Dales, we would like to remind all of our customers that our extensive range of new and used vehicles are available to purchase online during this time, and our friendly team of experts are on hand – either over the phone or via email – to help guide you along the process. We are also able to facilitate the delivery of any purchase and will do so whilst meeting the appropriate hygiene standards.
We would like to reassure our customers, that our showrooms will reopen when permitted. We are using this time to prepare the organisation to operate within the new guidelines. This includes social distancing and the use of PPE, protective screens and regular sanitisation, to reduce the risk of infection.
We look forward to resuming business within our showrooms and in the meantime have ensured that our fantastic offers are accessible to all online – whilst most importantly, prioritising the safety of our staff and customers.

Temporary closure of our showrooms
Like all businesses within the UK and indeed, worldwide, we are closely monitoring the impact that COVID-19 is having on our business, our colleagues, customers and business partners.
We are very much aware and respectful of the Government’s message that all UK citizens and businesses must play their part to protect the most vulnerable in our society and to ensure that the NHS has the ability to care for the inevitable, increased number of patients that will be affected by the virus in the coming days and weeks.
For these reasons, the Board of Directors have taken the decision to close all Dales showrooms to customers with immediate effect.
Our Scorrier workshops and parts departments will however remain open for breakdown, emergency repairs and MOT’s, this will ensure those customers wishing to use their vehicles are kept mobile.
Also, our LCV Scorrier workshop remain fully operational as we recognise the need to support our local businesses, who supply vital local services, by keeping their vehicles on the road.
We will also continue to support customers who wish to purchase cars, via our online services at www.dalescornwall.co.uk . This will be live during our closure and our sales teams are still eager to hear from you. We have added many more photos and videos of our used cars and will respond to any email enquiries. We will be able to give you a part exchange valuation, you can apply for finance and purchase, all without having to leave your home.
Over the coming days, the Dales team will work together, to care for our customers and look after each other’s well-being. This is a situation that we have not had to deal with before; we are entering uncharted territory and will be learning and adapting as we travel along this path.
Our teams will be working with our local communities to offer our support to frontline workers. We want to help ensure that keyworkers’ vehicles stay safely on the road and support where we can if they need help getting from place to place.
